Probably the way the bike is ridden. Use 'touring' all the time and am at, or just above the speed limit. But I do get the bike right over...the chicken wings (rear) on the new tyres are down to about 5mm and the tyres are still green

I'm using it mainly for day trips and getting to out of the way places...usually on what you would call B & C roads. Don't tend to try and tear up the road....

The dual-ply on the PR 3's (4s?) should help with the flat spot. I think it's really hard to compare tires with the stockers unless your one of those guys that just shit can's the OEMs right away. I was sliding my Skorpion through turns like Hayden at about the 6K mile mark. Any new rubber is gonna feel like glue after that.

I ride the piss out of my bike and the PR4 is about 1/2 done at 4000 miles. But it's worn evenly across the whole width

I look forward to trying these tyres, they'll definitely be going on when the OEM's wear out. Always been partial to Michelin's over any other tyre brand I've tried.

What sizing did you guys go for on the PR4's?

rear 180/55 & front 120/70 I also selected the PR 4s and didn't go looking for the Trail. Thought that the harder compound down the centre of the rear would/will give greater mileage. Time will tell.

Thanks Aussie, appreciate it. Have you had much chance to use them in anger in the wet? My research tells me this is where they're really gonna shine...

I was planning to install the Pilot 4 until I discovered the Pirelli Angel GT into a compare article. Michelin are good but expensive.
