Anyone install some Michelin Pilot Road 4 tires?
Thinking about swapping the OEM tires for the Pilot Road 4s. Now that winter is approaching, I'll probably wait until the spring thaw to throw them on. But everything I've read, they sound like they transform the experience and are an awesome tire in every respect.

Curious if anyone has put the Pilot Road 4s on a Hyper yet.

I put on PR4 on my Hyperstrada this summer.
I like them a lot.
They are really good on wet roads.

I fitted the 3's and think there great, the 4's are supposed to be better.

had four sets of 3's on the MTS1200, now 3,000 miles with the 4's on the hyper - love em.

I don't think there's comparing between the Scorpions and the Road 4's. I've recently switched tires after a nail in the scorpions and the Road 4's offer incredibly precision and good, safe grip in colder, wetter mornings. It's got a sharp turn in my experience. After 1000+ miles I barely see any indication of wear.

The Pirelli Angel GT is an excellent tire choice as well.

I don't think you could go wrong between Angel GT or Road 4's - they are both fantastic tires.

I've got about 7,000 miles of mostly highway on my PR4's, and I can see where the center is going flat. So far, about the same as the scorps. I can't tell the traction between one and the other. I'm not one to push the bike that far over in the rain just to test traction.

However, comma, I trust their traction enough to go 25-30mph on a dirt road where I only trusted my truck in 4WD to go 15-20mph.

Oh, and there's TONS of tread left after all that.

I've got 3k miles of hard riding on some PR4's and they're awesome. Amazing in the wet, dry, and even some mild dirt. Get them.

I made the switch after a trip from PA to NC wore out my Scorpion tires (they were at the end of their life anyways, 5700 mi). I decided since I have about 1500 more miles to go, I better get tires. The shop was out of Scorpions and only had the P4s. I think they perform about the same but I am not the rider who takes the bike to the max and typically averages only about 15-20 mph over the speed limit...to give you an idea. I have ridden a lot in the rain and they are fine.

btw...if you are at the Tail of the Dragon and need tires, there is a small road side shop that you pull in and they install them on the spot (first come first serve). Sort of outside of Robbinsville, NC.

Have just had P4s put on to replace the Scorpions which had some 9300klms on them and had started to wear flat on the rear.
Only have 300klms on the P4s but suggest that on B roads and freeways they will be much better. Tip in happens more quiclkly and the rear of the bike feels like it's on a wider radius on the corner over the Scorpions (not sure if this makes sense?).
Seemed to warm up quickly (do bike tyres heat cycle like car tyres?) and stopped ok in the dry. Will be interesting to see how they feel on cool mornings and in the wet.
