I've owned 32 bikes over the past 25 years and the Strada (in my opinion) will be the best type of bike for this area on weekend road trips.

You wouldn't be talking about the man, myth, and legend...Jim Ford?
I want to explore more of the Blue Ridge Parkway! I'll drive over from Ohio and ride with you guys some time!

Oh...I have a '13. Yes, it had some gremlins, but it's all worked out now. Runs great!

Best bike ever! I've had so many bikes over the years. Absolutely love my 2013 Strada. Fun to ride, fast, nimble, comfortable, reliable. I've no problems other than time enough to ride.

I Ride: anything I can get my hands on
Not one problem with my 2013, either. Oh wait, I had to lube the saddlebag locks. 6k miles so far.

I had a 2013, and it spent 8+ weeks in the summer at the dealer, either being repaired or waiting for parts. Finally, the bike was replaced by Ducati (thank you Ducati!) with a 2014 at no charge, but it did cause a lot of grief and made me miss over 2 months of the best weather.

Still, most fun bike I've ridden, and it's comfortable to boot. If you can get extended warranty, I'd say get it. The parts that were changed on my 2013 over the first summer were over $5k, and I'd hate for this to happen after the warranty runs out.
Too late... I bought a 2013 model... Just hope it will last...

What part of VA are you from? You don't have to be specific, but I live about 45 mins from DC and like to ride in the VA mountains.

I Ride: 2013 White Strada
My '13 has been great. Brake issues that were solved early on.

I still argue you can't get a good picture of overall reliability from forums. For every used car I've owned, I only joined a forum when I had a problem. This has been happening more and more here as the 13's start to enter the used bike market.

only problem i have is the subframe cooking my inner thighs in heavy traffic jams. there seems to be no solution to this yet from the dealer except avoid traffic jams, which is kinda hard to do in the metro where i live
