3D Printed parts

I have a 3d printer and I use 3D CAD software daily at work. So i've modeled and printed (made) two parts thus far for the hYPER sTRADA.

The new part I did up are bar end caps. You may have noticed, if you choose to not use the hand guards, the bar end will be exposed. It is lengthy and has two slots so it's not very pretty.

If you need some, let me know. I have red and most colors. The part can be glossy or matte. The ones in the pictures are black and then I sanded them to remove the layers left by the printer.

In another thread I show a turnsignal (blinker) switch I made. Mine fell off and the plastic button is only sold via the entire $100 assembly. The printed switch has held up through a couple of all day rides.

very nice for printed parts!

I was thinking my dash protector project was a great candidate for printed parts.

My multifunction / signal button popped off a couple weeks ago when I signaled, pulling away from my house. Would you be willing to print one for me? What sounds fair?

I popped it back on but the center button isnt working. I would be forever greatful, because my service experiences with all the local dealers have been terrible.

Bike is still under warranty for another year, but with a tiny scratch from the button dropping on the ground Bellevue Ducati claims DNA will say its user damage, and refuses to submit a claim.

This is after I had to make an appointment before they'd let me order a new switch, and then I and take off work for them to look at it for like 5 seconds. Not happy with them, but I digress.

StumptownRider, tell them to call Moto Europa in St. Louis (314-534-3410) for an example where Ducati did agree to replace the failed switch under warranty.
Yeah, service there didn't expect Ducati would agree either. They submitted the claim with a photo and I'm getting a new one replaced tomorrow. My button fell off somewhere on I70. I didn't have it, only the 3d printed one I made when I visited their shop with the problem.

Replaced is the best option.

Otherwise, i'll print you a new switch.
The center button presses a button really far into the square hole. Try using the plastic end of an ink pen (the part with no ink as you only need about .5 inch of it) to stick into that square hole. Press it in there until it goes far enough to activate the riding modes aka turns off the signals.

Can you send me a picture of the underneath of your switch and also what remains where the switch was on your bike either PM or post it on here?

That's the way of the future. Peoples will print faulty part replacement once the technology become affordable for the average John.

It's the way of this afternoon.
Do you need any small (ish) plastic parts?
