False neutral

I am a new owner. Always wanted a Ducati. Love it.
I am having one concern is I am getting a false neutral between 5th and 6th.
Only 350 kms on the bike.
Anybody else getting this? Anybody else had this and what is the solution?

I have 1000 km on my bike and hit a false neutral once or twice in that time. I don't remember what gear though. Are you wearing heavy boots. I find when wearing my steel toe boots I have to pay extra attention to my shifting.

I've had this happen as well I figured I must have down shifted too early and the bike was going into some safety of over revving,

I get them often in all gears. Dealer says Duc trannys require a very positive shift. Always upshift when it happens!

Hi, I also notice a false neutral between 5th and 6th during the first miles.
Now it's much better but I think that I improve my foot movement to avoid it.

Positive shift

I have had similar issue. Dealer had same responses noted above, a strong shift is required. I still have had a weak shift go to neutral and I do a quick upshift to get into gear. First time I have had this issue with any bike. I just try and make sure I get a good shift in to reduce neutrals. At 1700 miles now.

I rarely get false neutral's when wearing my steel toe work boots. Tranny slips slips into to actual neutral very well, which I remember was a prime indicator that box is going sour.

I've noticed that the pivot point on my boots doesn't match up with positive throw on the shifter bar. So, I actually need to slide boot forward on peg a bit for a clean shift and if I'm not paying attention or shifting aggressively, I might get a bit sloppy with the action.

Probably need adjustable rear seats to get perfect match but, I also wear many different boots when I ride.
