stock seat vs racing seat? anyone?

well here is the thing, the Chinese version hyperstrada comes with the lower seat, which make the seat height 810. i guess it is more suitable for the asian market… however i dont like it, mainly because it is a lot wider than i want it to be. The wide seat makes me unable to put both of my feet down. Also it makes difficult to shift my butt during cornering (i use the hang off cornering technique)…

i have found that there is a racing seat available for HS…is it narrower? and with better grip?

any experience with it please sharestock seat vs racing seat? anyone?-imageuploadedbytapatalk1440726128.994129.jpg

Seats are very personal, so I can't tell you what you will like. I recently switched from standard seat (not low), to the racing seat. I like this better for me. It is more flat, without a specific spot for you to sit. It us a little grippier. Also it is more firm. The way it is shaped it feels a bit more narrow. I can easily sit in different positions.

Cheers

Racing seat

Obviously, they all fit the same bike, so they are the same width. However, compared to the only other seat I know (standard seat, not low), it FEELS more narrow to me - there is no low spot in the middle like there is on the standard seat. I don't know whether the racing seat comes in a low version or not.

I had the stock seat for a while and finally switched to performance racing seat and I can tell you that it is much more comfortable for me. Never liked the stock and I think that the performance racing seat is a little less wide.
Didn't have a chance to take it to track with the new seat, but I am sure it will be better. Overall better experience for me.

sweet man, thats exactly what i wanted..

the stock seat makes me feel difficult to shift my butt from side to side in order to lean, due to the wide seat....

I Ride: Ducati!
I've been reading through this thread and I'm intrigued. These bikes don't do leaning like a sports bike, but pushing and pulling like a supermoto or motocrosser!

Thoughts?

on a track or on publöic roads you cannot drive each corner in supermoto/motocross style.
real fast corners ( and on a circuit basically all corners) have to be driven in "normal" mode, or do you want to have your leg on the street at 100+ mph ?

sorry i dont quite understand what you mean… Are you saying that hyper should be driven with the leg hang off(supermotp style) when cornering?

my cornering style is the one i learnt from my sportsbike time, which is hang off body and corner… like the pic shown belowstock seat vs racing seat? anyone?-imageuploadedbytapatalk1440896662.285104.jpgstock seat vs racing seat? anyone?-imageuploadedbytapatalk1440896704.337414.jpgstock seat vs racing seat? anyone?-imageuploadedbytapatalk1440896717.208206.jpg

I thought about getting the racing seat try it out first if I didn't like it I would probably trim out the middle maybe then you could actually grip the bike with your legs a little bit it's just too fat right now
