Out the door price

The MSRP is 13,295. The dealer I spoke with wants anther $500 for freight and another $500 for setup (shop labor). Is that reasonable? What did you pay if anything for freight and setup?

Bought many bikes thru the years, and have never paid more than MSRP OTD. With the hyper, and it's availability, I wouldn't expect much (if any) less than MSRP. I managed to get a couple hundred off (i pre-ordered). I would say if you can get MSRP and a good discount on any accessories, you have done as well as can be expected.

I will tell you I paid MSRP and close to what your showing for setup and freight. The two dealers in the Seattle area move a lot of bikes and don't do much discounting. On a new model it's even harder to deal. I also got a fee track day coffee mugs and tee shirts. The dealer puts on a track day every month during the summer. I do get 10% of parts and accessories anytime when ever I shop their store. But whats important to me really is a good dealer that is well respected by the Ducati community. Purchasing the bike is only the beginning of the relationship. Spend some time finding out about your local dealers and how well they support their customers after the sale. Are their mechanics hacks or true techs that know the brand. Go into the store and talk to the staff to see how knowledge they are about the bikes. Are they friendly and approachable.

Ouch! Everything is more expensive in Hawaii...

I paid MSRP, with other fee's waived and 10% off gear. He gave me some love for being active duty. We talked a lot before delivery and I didn't pester him when the arrival date kept getting pushed. I trust the owner, like that he's raced Ducs his whole life, and like how his tech's invited me into the bay and gave me honest answers about bike maintenance.

Good, honest dealer is worth paying sticker price for.

Final answer

I paid msrp + $900 for shipping/prep. None of the dealers were ready to bargain but they all have different pricing for ship/prep
