Hypermotard stock seat, comfortable?

Yesterday I finally saw a 2013 Hypermotard in person and had a chance to sit on it. Unfortunatelly no test ride yet. It's the first unit and currently the only unit at the dealership. They won't have Hyperstrada until August or September.

Anyway, I sat on the Motard and even though I can't flat footed... I find the seat is about the same height as F800GS and T800XC that I'm also considering... I think I won't have any problem riding it. But the seat on the Hypermotard feels hard.

My first reaction impression when I sat on it was whoa it's hard. I even touched and pressed the seat to make sure that it has foam on it.

So my question to 2013 Hypermotard owner here, how do you find the seat in a long ride, ride longer than 2 hours? Is it commfortable, or is it uncomfortable?

thanks in advance,
Bob

The Strada seat is different from Motard. I'm not sure if you're aware of that by reading your post. Strada seat has a very comfy memory foam filler, which I have done 2 hours on and my butt does fine. Think it's got a longer valley for more fwd/back movement and the Strada sits lower than stock Motard.

Most comfortable stock seat I've ever felt. On past bikes, I would have been shopping for a Corbin or something by now. I have no desire to swap this one.

Thanks gatdammit.

I figured the seats are different cause I read in this forum that the Strada seats are comfortable, while the seat on the Motard was quite hard.

There is a lower seat for the strada too, which is very hard, trust me i tried it and opted for the standard touring seat.

I purchased a hypermotard SP seat. It's very hard and uncomfortable, but you do get a little more movement front to back because it's flatter. The stock Hyperstrada seat is comfortable providing you are happy with the position of it. I need comfort and a little more front to back room and don't need a passenger pillion taking up my space. I can't wait for Corbin or others to make a solo seat

I have the lower strada seat and my 2-1/2 hr ride to the dealer and back a couple of weeks ago got to be a little painful towards the end. I am thinking about going back to my original seat if I have a long ride infront of me.

I would like a little more room to the rear, but the seat is pretty comfortable. I just find myself trying to scoot back and then sliding down the rise in the rear. Just need a couple more inches.

One guy had a slick top case that had a little 3" or so backrest that matched up with the rise in the seat. I find I have to force myself to sit that far back. Maybe it's just my svelte, athletically sculpted rump not filling out the whole scoop.

I ride on low seat(810mm). After riding 5 hours, there is no pain.
So you do not have to worry.
