New 2015 picked up

Today I picked up my new 2015 hyper....

I only have 40 miles on it due to work commitments but first impressions are.

Engine is very nice and sound it makes is amazing. My father has a 2015 multi and he thought the Hyper sounded more aggressive.

Gearbox is very smooth, I was expecting this not to be he case but it's as good as anything I've ridden.

Seat throws you forward a bit to much but that's something I will have to adapt to. Also thought wider bars would have been nice, but that probably due to me having fairly wide shoulders.

I thought the 12v sockets may have been able to take my optimate but that doesn't seem to work, so I will have to hard wire The charging lead to the bat.

Glad you're enjoying it - it's a great bike that just gets better as it breaks in.

My optimate works with the powerlet socket. Haven't used it in a while but I think I just run powerlet to sae.

If you are like me and don't like not being able to move back at all on the seat, I would highly recommend getting the race seat. It has made my HS much more enjoyable.

I find the seat fine... In fact no complaints at all, except the front brake has lost its feel and needs a pump to get it work 100%. I'm guessing either a warped rotor or air in the system, either way I let the dealer take a look as first service is coming up.

If it takes a pump to get it working properly, there is air in the line. A warpped rotor will pulse when braking.

I think a warped or out of alignment rotor could cause pad knockback. That could require an extra pump. Although, yeah, I'd expect pulsing in that case too.

Not sure here - this is a common problem. If it was air I'd think that on the second pump, the lever could still slowly be pulled to the grip, but it stays firm. Not sure what the answer is. some have changed the MC and seem to have success.

Interesting that is a common fault.... I will take it to the dealer and feedback to the BB at some point.
