Can someone check something real quick?

I am hoping one of you hyperstrada owners can help me out real quick.

Can you take a look behind the right-side fairing and see if there is a fuse box or anything mounted to the right side of the frame behind the fairing?

If you could remove the fairing (4 screws) and take a picture, that would be best, but you can also just look behind the fairing.

On the left side, there should be a plastic fuse box with some wires coming out of it, but the right side should be open. On my bike there is nothing on the right side, but the Hyperstrada could be different, and there could be differences internationally.

Thanks

This is the area I am referring to:

There is nothing under the rh cover on the Hyperstrada....it is the same as the Hypermotard.

Am on the road and can't take a picture but I've had the side panels off and the fuel tank out etc. Just a note but your photo is of the 939 and not the 821 (which is what I'm referring too)

Hope this is helpful.

Doh... didn't even notice that. I'm betting the 939 is the same as the 821 though.

Thank you good sir

I'm pretty sure you're correct in the main but there are some changes that are under the skin and will take time to come to light.

My understanding is it's a motor refresh to meet Euro 4, so larger capacity with mapping changes to generate around the same power and 10% more tourque but to deliver lower emissons. No sense selling a bike with less power....It will probably be a bitch in counties with shitty fuel..... Due to larger engine we now have an oil cooler, so the 821 must have been just on the limits with 20w weight oils.

There is a bigger exhaust can (and I don't think it will sound as sexy - the can will likely have denser matting), changed hand guards and blinkers. What is interesting are the plastic belt covers on the right hand side of the motor....looks like they are left overs from the Multi production line...but I think these are there for dressing only....

Anyway we will know shortly here in Australia....

Oh yes, of course. I would love to speak with the Ducati engineers to discuss all the compromises and improvements when increasing the displacement of this engine. Clearly they liked the chassis enough to keep the style the same, and just needed to meet Euro4 regulations.
