So I have some great news! Cruise control works great! I wasn't able to make it up during the week, so last weekend I visited Joe and we got the tuning parameters all squared away (so the bike doesn't surge when holding speed). It was quite the thrilling experience the first time I hit the "set" button and the bike kept a steady pace with my right hand off the bars!

It isn't quite production ready, there's a few more software tweaks that had to be made, as well as adjusting the lengths on a few sections of the wiring harness. The cruise control box is going to mount on top of the ECU, where some of you already have the rapidbike evo unit. The control boxes are roughly the same size as those. Another couple weeks though and we should have everything 100% sorted. On a side note, Joe found it very interesting that the Hyperstrada used an 8-pin TPS (3 individual sensors). It's an older style sensor not used anymore in most applications. Most modern TPS sensors are just 4 wires. In any case, I will let you guys know when things are 100%.

I can answer any questions you guys have. So far, there will be two pieces to the wiring harness. One side runs to the front right side of the steering stem, and connects to the TPS sensor, and taps one of the wires of the front ABS sensor. The other section of the harness runs up behind the headlight, and is what connects to the 3 button handlebar switch, and the 2 color LED status light. Joe and I found a good place to mount the status light right next to the dash that is easy to see.

Awesome.

Can he adjust the speedo reading while he's at it?

Great news.

Any ideas on price-point?

Safety mechanisms to keep it from going hay-wire?

It shuts off upon either brake or clutch being used. All of the signals are read from the canbus, so if your canbus is down, your bike isn't going to be working period.

Joe and I never talked about price, but his other kits are 380. aftermarket cruise controls for automotive and motorcycles

For those with the rapidbike evo, if you take out the exhaust servo motor there is a small cavity that opens up under the right side engine cover. Would it fit there?
