That was my initial thought, as I eventually will have both. I don't have my bike though to go and take a peek.

I wasn't able to make it up during the week, so last weekend I visited Joe and we got the tuning parameters all squared away (so the bike doesn't surge when holding speed). It was quite the thrilling experience the first time I hit the "set" button and the bike kept a steady pace with my right hand off the bars!

It isn't quite production ready, there's a few more software tweaks that had to be made, as well as adjusting the lengths on a few sections of the wiring harness. The cruise control box is going to mount on top of the ECU, where some of you already have the rapidbike evo unit. The control boxes are roughly the same size as those. Another couple weeks though and we should have everything 100% sorted. On a side note, Joe found it very interesting that the Hyperstrada used an 8-pin TPS (3 individual sensors). It's an older style sensor not used anymore in most applications. Most modern TPS sensors are just 4 wires. In any case, I will let you guys know when things are 100%.

I can answer any questions you guys have. So far, there will be two pieces to the wiring harness. One side runs to the front right side of the steering stem, and connects to the TPS sensor, and taps one of the wires of the front ABS sensor. The other section of the harness runs up behind the headlight, and is what connects to the 3 button handlebar switch, and the 2 color LED status light. Joe and I found a good place to mount the status light right next to the dash that is easy to see.
There has to be another place we can mount it, as some of us like myself have the corbin seat which leaves NO room to spare underneath. I'll be grabbing this ASAP as I have a trip coming up to Vermont, a 4 hour ride from Cape Cod.

No photos yet. I'll get some next time I'm up at Joes. Hopefully labor day I will be there testing his revised harness.

As for mounting locations, I sure hope so too. After I get the bike back I'll be rooting around looking for alternate places to put it. I have a few ideas.

This bike is damn near impossible to work on because everything is so tightly packed. Took me weeks to figure out where to mount the junction box for my lights, and even then it had to be a weird custom shape to fit the bike since there are no flat surfaces anywhere.

Joe didn't get back to me about labor day, so the testing I was supposed to do didn't get done. I had my brother go up and ride it on thursday, and he seems to think that it's complete and working correctly.

Joe said he was happy with it, and now i just need to find a time to go and pick the bike up.

Good to know, been anxious to grab this and install it. Just did a 600 mile trip to the Kancamangas in NH and cruise would've been wonderful.

Believe me, you have no idea how anxious I have been to get my bike back and finally get to try it out on my own. It's been 2 and a half months with no Hyper.
