As of yesterday I'm the proud owner of a new 2016 Hyperstrada 939. Love it! I had a 2014 Hypermotard, which was also great - but go into this Hyperstrada for the touring options. Now I have a question about the power of these 939's. I know the geometry and suspension has changed a little bit between the Hypermotard and the Strada. Even with these changes, I feel like the front wheel of these bikes should come up just as easy or close to as easy as my Hypermotard. Last night, toying around on the bike getting a feel for it I wanted to see how easily I could stand the bike up, knowing it had more HP and Torque than my Hypermotard. I didn't beat on it too hard, but gave it a few good romps and could not seem to stand this bike up. I was in Sport mode with default 3 ABS and 1 TC settings. It has me wondering if from the factory, Ducati has a limiter on these bikes until the 600 mile mark. I haven't seen anything about it - but I was slightly disappointed when this bike wouldn't wheelie. I don't see why this thing wouldn't otherwise. Any insight? |

Were you just using the throttle only to lift her up ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yeah exactly. My Hypermotard would power wheelie in first gear with no problem. Even at really low RPM the front wheel would come all the way up. That was just the base model 821 Hypermotard. I was expecting the same power and then some out of this Hyperstrada 939 | |
