Hyperstrada Dropped from Range !

Just had a shocking telephone conversation with my local dealer ! I am actively looking for a HYperstrada 939, been waiting for his new demo to come in so I can test ride it, and he tells me that he went to Ducati 2017 launch meeting on Monday and the Hyperstrada has been dropped from the range from next year ! To be replaced with a Multistrada 950, which has the 939 engine in ! I am gutted ! Take a look at the Multi 950, it looks shite !

Too bad they are dropping the Hyper line but I will have to admit that my Multi is twice the bike that the Hyper is. BUT it is a lot heavier. Hopefully the 950 will be a bit lighter and fall back into the Hyper style. They are quite different to ride but if I could have only one it would have to be the Multi. SAD to see the Hyper go.

The HS isn't exactly good looking either... It's a pretty ugly version of the HM which isn't bad on the eyes.

I actually love the look of both motard and strada. Never been a fan of the multi in the looks dept, although it`s a very capable bike. But this `baby` version looks pathetic ! It looks like summat my mum would buy just after passing her test !

I must be missing something, they look practically identical. Swingarm / exhaust is basically the only difference.

The "baby" multi is about 50lbs heavier than the hyper, In fact it weighs about the same as the regular multi.

I'm also pretty sure they will have softened it up and you sit in the middle of a lot of plastic, as opposed to the hyper ergos and yes is, to my eyes, ugly.
