Hyperstrada: making time with the speeders

Check out this link and look carefully at the bike situated back left. Looks like our favourite bike has no problem hanging out with crotch rockets. Also looks like a multistrada at the back right.

6 motorcycles nabbed for speeding on Sea to Sky Highway - British Columbia - CBC News

That said...doing 160 in an 80 zone??? No offence if the hyper rider who got nailed is one of us, but man, doubling the speed limit is not smart. The RCMP patrol that road like North Korea patrols its border, lol!!

My hyper gets pretty sketchy above 90 mph. If I change lanes or pin the throttle above this speed, I usually get a slow snaking-wobble that makes me back off. This is almost always with bags on and little weight in them. Still, I think a steering damper is in order.

I agree with the need for a steering a damper for any "spirited" riding. It looks like the 1100 Hypermotard items could fit with a spacer; anyone tried it or found any other suitable item?

Did anyone count the bikes in the picture? Lol. And yes I will be buying a damper, hopefully Ohlins makes one for us. I've noticed a very faint wobble in mine at higher speeds.

The bike between the HS and the MS isn't 1 of the 6...
2-3 meters is bs. The Tuono was easily 200 meters in front.
Never heard the police tell a lie before...

The HS cannot keep up with the Tuono or the CBR1000RR

Tip o the Day, watch your speed past Porteau Cove.

I had mine up to 135 mph during the track day I participated in. Did not notice any wobble or head shake, but I did not have the bags on either. Maybe the adrenalin had something to do with it.

I was reading a suspension troubleshooting thread and it said a lack of damping/rebound compression in front end can show as hyper-responsive steering at speed. My bars have featherlike sensitivity above 70 mph.
