Hey all, I've been wanting a Hyper for about 5 years now. I finally got one. I traded in my 07 R6. (Got $4500) and bought this 2013 Hyperstrada 821 with 8k miles for $5800. I was surprised but it has a center stand, heated grips, and a taller windscreen. I took the bags off because I think it looks better. What are some of your suggested first mods? I want to get LEDs for the headlights, I don't think they're bright enough. Is there a write up for additional aux lights? Thanks! Adam |

Congrats on the new ride! I LOVE mine! The first mods I got were all the protection stuff, Evotech axle & frame sliders as well as their oil cooler/engine/rad guards. Also got their shorty/adjustable levers and tail tidy. Evotech makes some really nice good quality stuff. I also just recently put a GPR slip on on and love it. It's got a nice low growl now. Louder than stock but not obnoxious. As for aux lighting I don't really know. There was a member here building kits but I don't think he's still doing that. I think he has a set for sale in the classified section you could check out. Bit to rich for my blood but they look nice. |

There are a number of good threads on enhanced lighting, below is one. Any suggestions on improving the low-beam headlight on HS |

If you find your clutch to be dificult to modulate, dificult to be smooth and the engagement point is never in the same place making it hard to ride in the city/town, there is a clutch fix. If you look around on here you will see it. I also have a 13. From what I have read the 13 and 14 had this issue but it was resolved using a different friction plate and including a judder spring. The repair kit is available on eBay for like $80(I don't remember exact amount). It made a big difference for inner city/stop n go riding. I'm not sure if he has any left but it's worth looking. Another great mod is the Starace carbon fiber intake housing. It's made by a former engineer of the Ducati race team. It tilts the filter down and between the intake trumpets which makes for better air flow inside the air box. The OEM design is restrictive and doesn't utilize the whole filter element since it is pressed up against the upper most part of the housing. I have the NRC turn signal led's and fender eliminate. It works great but if I were to do it all over again I would find an integrated led taillight housing that functions as a brake light and turn signal in 1. Also, like the other guy said, protection pieces such as frame sliders, axle sliders and any other sacrificial piece that will protect in the even of a wipe out. |

If he still has a set you should by the hyperlights kuksul08 made. They look great and turn night into day when you hit the high beams.
