Stupid question, I know.. but should I worry about my 2013 Strada blowing up?

Ok,

Short story.. Bought a brand new left over 2013 Strada in 2014.. Rode it 2000 miles then it sat in my garage off and on until this spring.. I uncovered her.. Washed and waxed her and sent her to the dealer.. Replaced all the fluids, chain tension 2 recalls and now I am back to riding her all the time..

I put 2000 miles on her since June this year and she is running perfectly..

My question.. I am out of warranty.. My bike is still a baby despite her manufacturing date..

Should I be concerned about ECU or other expensive things failing on her since she is a 2013 or should I trade her in and get new one under warranty..

The last thing I want is for something to fail and cost me over $2000 when she is only worth $6500 now..

Am I crazy?

The early ones have some niggles, but overall are a solid bike and engine.
Mine gets used and abused all year round, from touring, hooning around and the occasional trackday.
As long as all the recalls are done, the can bus filter etc, then should be nothing to worry about.
The early ones have a bad clutch design and the bite is fierce, but a relatively cheap mod sorts that out.
There is a wealth of information on this forum about your bike. Take your time, search posts and read up.

Your belts are now at the 5 year replacement recommendation, if one were to break then you'll be way over the $2k for repair. Best to have them done now. It cost me $600. To have a master mechanic do the work.

The major issues are pretty limited, if you ask me. This isn't the biggest forum and the disco dash issue was pretty limited.

Mentalist summed it up pretty well. I've probably saved a couple grand doing my own repairs/ fixes (clutch, starter, brakes). The dash and TPS should be goodwill TSB's. Ducati hit a homerun with the motor, which is the last thing you want to suck on a bike. It's a great used buy.

So I love the bike.. i was trying to convince myself that I needed the SuperSport S 939.. but other than Ohlins, Wind protection and Quick shifter I see no upgrade..

I mean our bike is rated at 110 HP and the SS S is rated at 113 HP or so.. So I can not imagine there being a big difference other than flat out top speed on the SS S..

Actually the clutch isnt bad on mine.. But I will look into the Belts and the Can Bus whatever that is (ill do a search now)

Im 95% convinced Im going to keep the bike and keep riding it until its dead.. I love the look, the performance and everything else.. it has me wanting for nothing.. I was just getting concerned that the Disco Dash would creep up as I am not rolling on to 4000 Miles.

All recalls are done as well

Just checked the recalls done on my bike:
1. CR115- Throttle Control Replacement
2. Open Recall - Can Protection filter

Is number 2 the Can Bus you all are talking about?

As for the sticky clutch, it helps to make certain the clutch cable is lubed at all times even if you do the 15' and up clutch replacement.

Ill have to research that, as I have no idea where to lube the clutch cable and what lube to use.. I did just by some new levers that arrived today.. soI guess ill install, lube and adjust it all together.
