The Ohlins steering damper I have fitted seems to have settled the front end nicely, though I am yet to do any decent miles and acceleration testing with loaded panniers.

I just ordered the larger touring screen.
Like always, it's not on stock. I hope it doesn't take as long as the heated grips to get here.....
Also ordered a water pump protector and an engine guard on ebay.

Bling time.....

Regards.

Hyperpedro- may be a stupid question but where did you find your Ohlins steering damper? Is it just a universal fit?

Did you already put your larger touring screen on your bike? How does it feel?
Last sunday I rode 50 km on the highway and my head was wobbling. I'm 1,88 tall and the wind hits my helmet on top. So instead of the sportier Carbon windshield, I may obtain for the bigger screen.

I Ride: anything I can get my hands on
I am wondering why so many owners are having problems with wind blast. My Strada still has the stock screen. I've done some long days at high speeds without discomfort, and I'm 6'1" (1.85m). Could it be the helmet? My Bell Star has good aerodynamics, and any ADV helmet with a bill would likely be quite tiring.

My Trophy 900 would buffet my head side-to-side constantly. A taller screen was no better. One UK magazine described it as "like going 10 rounds with Muhammad Ali." My wife, on the back, thought I was doing it on purpose.

PS I'm not fond of lager, I'm more of a Guinness guy. Or Real Ale if I can get it!

I have a decent helmet and it cuts the wind fine. I've noticed it gets calmer when I stick my helmet out above the buffet coming off the top of the screen.

Like I've stated, it's my shoulders and upper body that get beat up. However, it's worse in the afternoon when the sea breeze is really strong on the highway. When I ride early morning the air is very calm and clean.

I just need more shoulder protection.

Laminar Lip

I installed the Laminar Lip last week before a 3 day trip and sure glad I did! Took a run up to the Grand Canyon and then started towards Zion Park via the 89a. The wind was strong but from the south but as we turned north the wind started to change around from the north. I don't know how strong it was but we ended up halfway between Page and Flagstaff head on into a horrid wind on a two lane road so we turned around to run with the wind. The Laminar Lip was a godsend - it pushes the wind up and over my helmet making the bike feel way more stable. Considering the attachment points look like simple velcro tabs the Lip held up no problems. Half the cost of the Ducati 'big screen' at $79. I can't speak to the Ducati touring screen but the Lip works great for me.

I hear ya, Manni. I just can't go that ugly. Somebody will make a large sculpted screen eventually.
