I'll attempt to be a heat shield and note I was going to re-work with all solder. I soldered the original splices but coupled with 3M terminals as my biggest concern is water intrusion/corrosion. I don't think solder and a good tape job will totally keep the water out. I haven't been able to find those water tight connectors Duc uses around the frame. They look like a double-barrel JB Weld tube.

I was riding through my hood late this weekend and I fiddled with the loose connection. All the sudden it looked like the house lighting scene from Christmas Vacation! Suckers are bright!

Well. Today I took my HS back to dealer to have the horn fixed (second time). Was told that the button was faulty.

At the same time, I asked if there was anyrhing that could be done about the gay sounding horn!

Well, yep they offered me a PIAA horn system. I siad go ahead. This kit has 2 trumpets, one of which just fitted in the original horn position (together with a new relay), and the other trumpet I have had fitted just behind the evaporarive emissions cannister (which I wanted to remove, but dealer told me it would void my warranty).

Anyway, to cut a long story short, the horn now sounds like a frieght train! I'm almost nervous to press the button now, it is so loud! At least people will now I'm there!

Today I removed the centre stand and stiffened up the rear preload, because I went to three Sisters race circuit and thrashed the arse of it. Brake lever and foot peg nicely scrubbed in now.

I want to track this bike soooo bad. It inspires so much confidence on the street that I think it will really shine on the track, with most of the old man gear stripped.

I only have like 3-4 mm of chicken strip left. I'm getting a little nervous about finding the grind point for the first time.

Installed the Lusuardi Racing rear fender/plate holder. Had to modify the piece for the turn signals to fit with the pannier mounts, but it worked out. Going to look at reversing the shift pattern tonight as I had it that way on my Hyper 1100 S.

Won't work with stock parts. Going to have to wait for woodcraft. I also plasti-dip painted the subframe black.
