New timing belts, new grips, new rear brake pads and the clutch upgrade kit.
She's running and stopping like a champ now!

I Ride: '09 RM-Z450 Supermoto, and '13 Hyperstrada
Installed the red fuel tank cover commonly found on Hyper 939 SP's.. p/n 480P5672E

Then, because my bike is a 821, I also ordered a set of Monster 821 fuel tank decals to cover the 939 ones on the panel. p/n 43819281AA

Unfortunately, the decals were on a clear background, so I went to a local sign shop and found a suitable color of red vinyl to place behind the Monster sticker. Anyways, here's the results;









I think it turned out ok. Oh, I also installed the Motolectric HiCap kit. However that'll be another post in it's own thread.

thanks kuksul.. the first picture I find the background a little busy and distracting.. but meh..

I tell ya, what would make the bike look a heck of a lot more classy would be rocking a set of your accessory lights.. but alas.. no funds for them.

One thing I have quickly figured out, that cover scratches easily. One rainy ride with the dealers vinyl key chain and I have marks all over from where it was flapping around at speed. It will probably buff out with wax and some elbow grease, but I didn't have to think about that with the 821. That aside, it's shiny and I do like the way it looks, I'm just worried about scratching it.

I think it's fine, I didn't even notice the background. What camera are you using? I got a new lens for my D7000, a 35mm f1.8, but I'm really struggling with getting the pictures to come out crisp especially at larger apertures.

Some very fine polish would probably help. Does it have a clearcoat, or is it plain paint?

Some clear bra film would also keep it protected in the future.

I have two camera systems (D4S & D750).. however, these were taken on the 750 with a 50mm f1.8 in Aperture Priority mode.

I miss my old travel buddy 35/f1.8 on a crop sensor.. I've found most of Nikon's f1.8 lineup don't become sharp until around the f4-f8 area (sometimes needing a flash to sharpen things up a bit). Yes you can split a hair on f1.8, but the image isn't actually focused on enough content to make the photo understandable. All that results in the tip of the nose being tack sharp, eyes being soft focused, and ears being completely blown out..
