I Ride: anything I can get my hands on
It's not obvious from your description, but I hope you soldered those connections together - hot melt glue is not a substitute!

I am not a fan, but you could always use some Scotchlocks...they do work and are easily installed and removed.

I Ride: 2013 White Strada
I did use small scotchloks. Everything was working fine to that point. I soldered the 2 power and 2 ground leads from the lamps, then to the splicer into the highbeam/ground circuits. I was really worried about water intrusion, hence the glue. I may have to go back and really test my soldering skills.

Just a loose connection. I can't believe that after the triple redundant securing I did. Found some better connectors. Debating just soldering and taping well.

The method I have found that works well is just twisting the wires together, then wrapping with electrical tape, then covering with heat shrink. No way the wires are coming apart then.

Until they get yanked hard enough...that's not acceptable to me. Buy a soldering iron!

The forums are full of posts about failures that are related to electrical gremlins, why tempt fate?

+10,000!!

in your other post you call yourself a "connoisseur of fine vehicles", so why ruin them with half-assed electrical work?? Fine vehicles are inside and out...
