Sure you can. The maps are completely downloadable. USA was about 1.5gb. Addresses, POIs, gas stations, whatever.

Using MapFactor on my Nexus7 first gen tablet.

I Ride: Hyperstrada

I use an iPhone attached to the handlebar and connected to an USB port.
I have a Schuberth helmet with communication system.

Where to go -> I use GPS Navigon app with all maps installed on the phone.
Where have I been -> I use GPS Tracks app and save the tracks in Dropbox.
Someone calls -> Answer and talking when driving.
Listen to music -> Can listen to all music that is stored on the iPhone.
Listen to radio -> Schuberth communication system built in
Tire pressure -> iTPMS app on the phone that will warn me if pressure drops.

All the things above communicate with the helmet through one bluetooth channel and that is why they works so well together.

I don't now a perfect satnav on the market. I see 3 Options: Garmin Zumo or Montana if you use a PC for planning. The map is good an the internal Routing is not so good for motorbike. Navigon App on a cell phone. Navigon has a very good internal Routing but I don't now a cell phone with a good Screen for sunny weather. TomTom Rider has the Option "curvy roads" but no planning program on the PC. And I hate teleatlas maps. Garmin and Navigon use Navtec.
