Which cruise control/throttle lock fits the Hyperstrada?

I love taking my Hyperstrada on long 200-mile day rides, but half of the trip always ends of being at a non-varying speed and my wrist is screaming in pain after holding the throttle in the same spot for about 30 miles. I NEED a cruise control.

I like the Kaoko throttle lock as it looks very clean and simple. But does anyone know which model fits the Hyperstrada? I bought the model that fits the 848 EVO and it wouldn't fit... was just a mm or two too big for the diameter of the handlebars.

Does anyone know which one fits? I really need a cruise control as it's the only thing that's keeping me from wanting to do long rides with this bike.

Okay, just ordered one. But I'd much prefer the Kaoko because it's much cleaner than the omni cruise. Omni cruise is like a giant wart. I'd rather have the functionality than non at all, but wish there was a more elegant solution.

The omni cruise looks scary. It was kinda scary when the video warned you "must decelerate the throttle before using the brake lever..."!

My buddy had a Kaoko on his 990 Adventure. It worked well but they are very model specific.

I bought a Cramp Buster for $10. My hand doesn't fall asleep on my hour commute anymore. Very non-invasive. Plus I'm hoping for a digital version since we are TBW.

Guys. No worries on the omni cruise. I am telling ya. The functionality is even simpler than ABC. No additional modification needed to the bike at all.

Regarding the deceleration part, just close the throttle as you normally would do. It will deactivation by itself.

The only con part is...........very addictive. To the point, you may become lazier while riding. Once on the highway, starts to use the omni cruse.

once i cruise 150kph for 20km over. lol.

darn......hyperstrada is a bike not a scooter

I have had both these types of cruise controls on my bikes.
Over here we get a much simpler plastic version of the Omni cruise that requires no mechanical adjustment, just clip it on and away you go, it is not marketed as a cruise control as such but more of a cramp buster, it works like a charm. It costs about $8-00

The Kaoko on the other hand takes some getting used to and seems a bit clumsy to me, they are very much bike specific and are a bit fiddly to set at first, I found trying to use the pinkie finger on my right hand a bit odd, plus there is the price of course, $70-00 in South Africa.

I Ride: anything I can get my hands on
It's too bad that no one seems to be working on aftermarket electronic cruise control kits. It can't be that hard, when the bike has ABS and ride-by-wire. The CC that came standard on my Harley keeps the speed within 1 mph. I can ride for hours with my right hand free. The only drawback is that it shuts off above 85 mph...

Word, Zippy. They could pretty much design one unit that would work across their entire current line. I was hoping the Diavel would get one and then pray for a retrofit.

I guess most Ducati owners don't list cruise control on things they'd like to see available in the future.

I'm using a Kuryakyn Universal Econo Throttle Assist. I had to go to Home Depot and get a longer bolt, washers, and nuts to extend it over the ignition switch. It's great for flat, empty, roads but you still need to manage the throttle on hills or when dealing with traffic. I would throw a Cramp Buster on there too, but there's only so much room on the grip with the throttle lock on there.
