Anyone want to be the guinea pig and buy this new "super" touring windscreen and tell the rest of us how it compares to the Ducati touring windscreen? I just bought the touring one not too long ago and really curious how this new larger one compares. Only $125 too... not bad at all! Ducati Hyperstrada 821 Windshields |

Who provided the bike in the pic? I'd ask CalSci if he can get a report from them.

There are many larger screens inlucing CalSci, Puig and other parts makers, Would anyone make a chart which says the the size of screens? Puig's Width: 325mm Height: 450mm CalSci' s Width: 376mm Height: 432mm I think there are more makers. |

The Cal Sci site lists the height at +4". or 20 " total. That's 508 mm tall. So it looks like this one is bigger than the Puig in both dimensions. More width will offer better protection to the shoulders. Five minutes on my belt grinder would shorten it to whatever I'd like. But I'd rather have it in clear.

I purchased a windscreen from CalSci and wouldn't recommend it, at least not until they do more R&D. Long story short, the bolt holes on the fairing did not align properly and the supplied mounting kit had missing/incorrect parts and so did the replacement kit they sent out last week. The guy on the phone kept saying that this was the first one they sold. Sounds like they need to do more R&D but at $140 I'd rather not be beta tester for them. I've been trying to return the windscreen but it's been hard to arrange with them. Maybe they'll have worked out the bugs in a year or so, but clearly not yet. On the upside, the screen seemed to be high quality material and carefully hand cut. |
