I rationalized the msr 30 oz can with plastic tube case over the rotopax. It seemed like too much luggage. I put the tube under a bungee net on top of a dry sac.
It's only .24 gal so maybe 15 miles worth of fuel should be enough for road touring.
Now on second thought the rotopax might be better. It'll mount to my tail rack and then put the drysac on it. I just might.
Why, what are your thoughts?

I don't know if it's the best fuel storage container or not, but I've used a 1 liter metal Keytone solvent container that has been drained & flushed with a bonding strap attached to it. It's small enough to fit in the panniers/tail bag, where it won't take up mich room, the metal containers are generally built strong, almost crush proof and they're chemical resistant.. Just make sure to have that bonding wire attached when transferring fuel to dissipate static electricity.

well i got the sw-motech rack and have a kreiga US30 dry bag. so my plan was to mount the rack then rotopax to the sw rack and drybag on top. that way you get 1gallon of extra fuel.

I use altridrer's tail rack and Oxford aqua50 dry bag. Similar to yours. One thing is rotopax is mounted on the side through the middle so you'd have to remove everything on top of it and I don't want to do that. However, when I think it's emergency fuel and not something I plan on using every tank of gas. I'm reconsidering.
at first I thought the low fuel light meant find gas now. Since then I've ran out of gas from 125 miles to 175 miles so now I plan to always carry emergence fuel on long distance trips.
