I cover my bike every night when traveling, whether on the hitch carrier or in front of the motel. My preference is for the very small, yet durable, Aerostich bike cover. ![]() This is the large size, which I've had for a decade of use over some nearly 200,000 miles. To help it fit on the little Hyperstrada I use the stretchy cord. I made the cord myself with small carabiners on each end. I have a friend that lived and worked in a number of large urban environments. He never removed his tank bag nor locked his luggage. He seldom even removed the key. BUT, he always covered his bike completely. Never did he lose anything despite the street locations his bike was always kept. Out of sight, out of mind. |
