Flat Repair Kit - Very easy roadside repair set-up.

I've repaired dozens of tubeless motorcycle tire flats alongside the road. Victim of off-road adventures with screws and nails being hidden dangers in the gravel.

This is my kit of necessities reduced to the minimum size. A size that easily fits in my tiny tail bag, with room to spare.

The only additional item is a pair of KTM pliers to pull the nail/screw out of the tire.

These specific brands and items are based on a ton of trial & error, research and most of all, a great deal of success with making the repair and safely riding the tire until the tread wears out, without any leaking air.

Here is a post from another forum that provides good information about tire repair.

I agree with the guy on the BMW forum. I have the Stop & Go kit. Tried to use it once ... too much trouble and won't work on ALL sizes of hole. (I least I never figured it out).

I have both Black and Brown type string plugs. I like the sticky Brown ones for small holes ... but have used the BIG black strings to plug larger holes.

Lots of rubber cement should used and good technique to get the plug in, then loop it back out. I don't cut off excess until at least 6 hours after repair. Riding on it seems OK.

Once you use Safety Seal plugs, you will never go back to the cheap Chinese plugs.

We repaired a huge hole in a GS tire at the start of our Sierras ride. Took two of the big Safety Seal plugs together with a lot of lube. That repair never lost a single PSI the entire ride.

What makes Safety SealŪ different?
24 plies of a custom made high tensile (350 lb break strength) chemical resistant nylon yarn
Each yarn is immersed in our unique proprietary rubber sealant system-250% rubber to yarn
Our patented manufacturing process assures the final Safety Seal repair has an equal amount of rubber sealant (250% rubber to yarn) through-out the Safety Seal Repair
Superior tools to aid in the proper insertion of the Safety Seal repair into the puncture

Riders should choose the plug tools carefully as there is a difference. Note how the reamer has smooth edges with the spiral? Many reamers have aggressive file-like edges which tear the fabric tire support and break the steel bands, both take away from the integrity of the thin motorcycle tire.

Rather than ripping at the strength of the tire to get a one-size-fits-all plug into the tire, use the correct size plug, lube the opening and insertion tool, and only insert smooth tools.
