You are my kind of traveler. I'd like to pick your brain regarding trips you've taken in Arizona (I see you've covered quite a bit of it).

I've added to this list:

This has some more:

Great roads like these:

But then, I collect good riding roads and document all my rides.

These are great. One more question: What does your color code mean?

Generally, the red are my favorite, blue sweepers and green scenic. The magenta is yet to be decided.

Just an update ... I did actually purchase a subscription for Rever which I am going to cancel because the app and online software have proven to be pretty useless ... The Butler maps/suggestions can be obtained in different ways and having ridden some now ... I think I found better roads ( more to my liking ) than the Butler ones. The software is difficult to use and I do have significant knowledge in the area since I do this for a living ... I did end up planning my route what you may call the old fashion way and used TomTom Go on my iPhone which proved to work out quite nice. Bluetooth connection to a Sena 10C and guidance was available all the time ...
One bigger challenge is to document the rides and save choices that I've made along the way ... I have to work on a system to do this ...
The bigger challenge and more of a practical one was to actually keep the damn iPhone charged ... I purchased one of those handlebar mounted cigarette lighter and usb power box ... mid trip the usb port got messed up and every mile or so my iPhone was saying that the accessory is not supported etc etc ... after some troubleshooting in front of the motel figured out that the power box is a p.o.s. had to purchase yet another cigarette lighter to usb adapter which worked to the end of the trip. I did have a backup Garmin GPS(purchased for 99$ on sale with lifetime map updates) charged and ready in case the iPhone would have failed.
So I guess to conclude even after a short trip ... the loser items come about pretty quickly ... Reliable power, navigation and comms in a small package are a must ... route planning the old fashion way gives most flexibility and hence joy ...
