Yes, it's the same.
The only difference I noticed is the 'hook' (see circle) which is probably a design change due to some reported broken stock seats (I think I read it somewhere).

Anyone try different seats? I want to sit back about 2"-seat-comparison-below-_1100_40_.jpg

Did you test ride the Multistrada? I think that bike comes closer to your desires. I owned one for three years and it feels like a sofa compared to the Hyperstrada (also because you sit more backwards and have better suspension).

How ever, perhaps this classified (Corbin Seat) is something for you.

Multi is way to expensive....im not going to pay 20k for a comfy seat....

I've heard mostly mixed to not so great reviews of the Corbin...dunno we'll see.

I modified the profile of the stock seat. I felt the seat was putting too much pressure on soft tissue instead of sit bones. It always felt like I was being shoved forward too.

The wire is the original profile.

I Ride: anything I can get my hands on
I need the opposite...more padding and support for the passenger. The stock 'Strada seat is fine for just me (although my knees tend to hit the side fairings), but the wifey could use a bit more room. And no, I have absolutely zero desire to buy a Multi instead! I've become allergic to machines that weigh much more than 400-ish pounds or cost over $20k.

I have a standard Hypermotard seat if anyone wants to try it. $200 shipped to the US, or swap for another Strada seat that I would modify. One with a torn cover would be okay.

I have the stock, the low comfort, and the race seat. Race seat all the way. It allows me to move on the bike and is quite comfortable.

I only ride solo so it might not be the best for two up ??

Damn lomax I wish you were near me. I can't figure out what I want from this damn bike.... When I first got it I loved it, now I'm struggling with it. Something with the seating position. Wehen I ride it hard I feel like I'm losing contact with the bike. Feet don't stay in contact with the pegs on the outside foot, it's almost like the reach to the pegs is too far. I'm back and forth on trading it in for something like a VFR or Sprint ST. I don't know what I need to do to this thing to fix it...

Sounds to me like the MN Hyper owners need to do a road trip.

Road trip, sure come on down. Nothing to see in Colorado

Strider, This bike is different than anything else I own or have ridden. Kind of hard to get comfortable on. The race seat has raised me up and gives a good flat platform to move around on and not be locked into one position which helps. I have also notice that you have to get WAY forward on this bike to make it behave properly and to get a good body position. When you crank that curve get that head way out front and try to kiss the inside mirror. OK a bit of an exaggeration but not really. If you sit back and relax on the bike the body position is all wrong and it feels weird.

Don't give up as it is a great bike and a blast to ride, Just real different than other things on two wheels. Or if it just does not fit then there is no harm in trying other typed of rides.
