Either way, if they need a donor bike and you are unable to give up yours, just let me know. I am close enough I'd be willing to leave it with them for a while.
Ohlins is in Carolina. Yeah reading is an hour from me, I have another bike so mine can sit there for a week or so no big deal.

And the shock would be around $700 area they said, maybe less with a group buy the forks no clue yet but most of their mid line stuff is $1k rt 1.3k. But they are also going to look at fork cartridges as an option also so even less there. My bike will be the guinea pig as will I lol.

Ooh, that price looks better than I was thinking. Mark me down for a group purchase if it is around that price.

Will do. When it gets a bit further on ill make a group buy thread to get it rocking. They said the fork cartridges will be better than the sp forks hands down and easier to rebuild then our stock pos and one side will handle compression and one rebound. But the whole fork upgrade will be lightyears better.

I Ride: anything I can get my hands on
$700? Must not be the one in your pic. I seriously doubt that an Ohlins with full adjustability, a piggyback reservoir, and hydraulic preload adjustment would cost less than a grand. The one on my SV650 was that much, without the preload adjuster. The full-boat Ohlins I put on my '95 Triumph was $1000 - back in 1996!

Last time I checked, the only Ohlins inserts were for the regular Hyper, which has another 20 mm of travel. Might not fit in the 'Strada forks, and I for one would not like any additional ride height.

The convo changed to Penske shocks and forks. That's for Penske. I wish ohlins would just do it though but they said they will not.

I would not want to give up the hydraulic preload adjustment. Use that quite a bit. Is the "remote" you refer to the shock damping fluid reservoir? That's needed, but how about the preload adjuster? Do they even offer one?

I have submitted a request to my contact at Elka Suspension. They make a shock with a built in hydraulic pre-load adjuster. I have their triple clicker on my 999.

Yes the damper can is remote, the preload is the same as on an 1199,899 it has the adjuster on the shock for it. \

I have just been in touch with Motoracing Shop about the Mupo fork kit to check out if it was available for the LS model. They came back and said it was for the standard ride height.

My knowledge on springs and damping is limited but is it just a case of different spring lengths?
