Definitely interested. I really like the 8983.

Elka won't do anything without 10 confirmed orders. That might not be too hard if you consider the strada and the motard. They would need a donor bike once the orders were confirmed to start development, and they are located in Canada (too far for me to just drop off my bike).

I wouldn't get another rear shock unless it had remote preload. I wonder if Penske can add that option (for a cost).

I haven't used them but many people swear by racetech - certainly worth looking into - especially if it's mainly a spring upgrade that's needed for the rear. Thinking of the emulators for the front - if winter gets dull and I want to screw with the bike.

Yes they can. The way this will most likely go down is 1 group order first with my bike as the donor bike. then made to order for everyone elsewhere for a bit higher price. This will be a sweet deal for us guys.

I contacted Mupo and they could provide the kit but I would have to send the forks to them to make the changes necessary for an LS.

Having the LS model seems to restrict my options. I think there is about an inch difference in length between the LS and standard. The stanchions seem to be about the same length so I guess the sliders are longer.

I will need to keep looking around but I am considering trying to find another set of forks (standard) deciding on what changes to make and dropping them down through the yokes.

If anyone can comment on the good idea/bad idea let alone finding another pair of forks I wou appreciate it.

Yes MUPO has them for the normal height bikes here.

Mupo Srl - Kit cartridge SP

You guys are really going to have to buy custom fork cartridges for the LS model. It's a shame Marz didn't think about doing it as they did the SP Forks.

Speaking of MUPO suspension. Ducati of Omaha just became a mupo dealer so our suspension dreams have been answered. We will be able to order the fork cartridge kit and shock directly from DUC of Omaha set up with the height, riding style etc plus custom valving included. Our prayers have been answered suspension wise for our bikes. I will post the direct links once they are added to their site. I'm also gonna ask about a forum deal for us as they do over at the 1199.com that I am also on. Stay tuned for the business.

How does the mupo compare to racetech emulators? The racetech set up is something around $5-600.

Well MUPO is the only suspension company that at the base price you get the entire cartridge, forks or shock built to you for no additional charge including valving. TTheh cartridges for our bikes are full fork cartridges. Even andreanoni isn't a full set. They are the suspension supplier of the Ducati SSTK bike from wsbk and they took first. Many other details that make them a lot better. Worldwide them and Ohlins are tied at #1. Now we finally have a dealer in the USA wooo

Some details for the Cart. and Shock.

Shock

Part# A02DUC042

Cylinder in steel 46 mm (in steel for AB1)
The piston rod 16 mm and coated in PVD
The heads and the lower joints are CNC made in hard anodised Ergal
Adjustment features:
Rebound 40 positions
Compression 24 positions
Spring preload (C-spanner) or optional hydraulic spring preload
Adjustable length

Fork Cart.

Part# C03DUC047

The cartridge is 25 mm in diameter and made in Ergal coated and hard anodized
The piston rod is 12 mm in diameter and made in Ergal
The progressive system pistons are 25 mm in diameter and complete with D.U. bushings
Guiding bush and floating piston rod
Compression needles
SAE 5 Mupo racing oil
Spring in chrome-silicon steel with Ergal guiding spring Fork, top caps, with spring preload on bearings
Adjustment features:
Rebound 40 positions
Compression 48 positions
Manual spring preload 30 positions (15 mm)

The following set/custom for each rider by weight/riding style/riding setting(ie Track,Road/Track,Road)

Springs, Oil Weight, Valves!

Fork : A modification kit designed to transform o/e fitted front forks into competition ones. Done simply by replacing the whole group of original cartridges with our Cartridge SP, fitted with larger pistons and a progressive system, altogether guaranteeing more precision and better performance.

This kind of cartridge is specifically studied for the motorcycle where the hydraulic adjustment is only in one leg.

I am following up with Mupo and I intend to send them the forks for my LS model in January, avoiding the holiday period shutdowns
