My Dealer send my fork to Wilbers.
Go new springs and Oil.
Fork is much better now.
First it is as stock then after about 5 0% Travel it becomes stiffer.
It does not bottom out anymore :-)
Total Cost around 350 max.
I gozt it a little cheaper as my fork was the guinea pig..

I Ride: anything I can get my hands on
Looks like he only got fluid and springs...for $430-ish US. RT did mine for under $500 with custom valving. I did deliver and pick them up myself, so I did not pay for shipping which could easily be another $100 each way w/secure packaging and insurance.

That said, it's the springs and preload that need the most help. More of the first, less of the second.

It's a bit lost in translation, but that Mupo kit looks like it still only gives you damping in one fork leg...let's see the pricing.

I'll say it yet again - except for preload at the rear w/passenger, most of us will never need adjustability if the setup is correct for your weight and riding style to begin with. All the adjusters in the world will not make up for an inadequate spring rate!

So I was at the NY Motorcycle Show yesterday and met the owner of a dealership, who decided to recruit a 20-year Italian master tech straight from Italy. Then he introduced me to him. I asked if he knew Mupo. Says they're the best. I look forward to hearing more info on them and our ability to get them here.

Hope this is the right place to ask this question:

Since I manly ride 2up these days, is there a recommended setting or preset for the preload / damping or even better a combined weight setting that is recommended for the hyperstrada?

My LS front fork legs are now on their way to Mupo in Italy. Should be there on the 12th.

First, a gentle hint...if you include some info about your bike in your signature, folks could give more accurate answers to your questions. I'll assume you have a Strada, though.

Then the humor...you ride manly? Bare chested?

Okay okay...My wife and I weigh about 330 in our mesh gear, and we have carried another 20 - 30 pounds in the saddlebags plus 10 in the tankbag. I found that I needed to run the adjuster all the way in to keep the ride height I wanted.

That said, we got a bit sideways on a patch of sand once and when the tire grabbed again she dragged her toe...with her foot still on the peg! So if we rode two-up more often I'd probably change the rear spring. The front already has stiffer springs, see my posts on the subject.

Enjoy your ride...
