Switched power connection for GPS etc.

I installed my DP GPS last night and took some photos along the way.

It was included in my bike purchase, the line for it said $700, but you know how they fudge the numbers so that the final price comes out right.

Super. I will go in and solder smaller wires for my GPS to plug in. Thanks a bunch.

P.S. Do you have a picture of the GPS mount? I am using a ramball mount on the handlebar clamp, it is kinda fiddly and is never in the middle or angled right.

WAIT!!!...Today after realizing I actually had no power at the GPS, I found a second connector located up in the same place, but not inside the bundle cover. It turns out the "other" connector is the correct one for GPS. The first connector I used is for the heated grips (not sure if this is power for the grips or just switching for the grips). It has a sticker down on the wire labeled "grip heater". Didn't see the label the first time around. Duhhh.

I will shortly update my first post with new photos., then edit this post to note the change. Stupid Italian directions weren't very clear.

DIRECTIONS AND PHOTOS UPDATED. Sorry for the confusion.

Here ya go. I don't know if you can buy just the mounting hardware separately. I am just using a ramball that replaced one of the handlebar mount bolts on my Multi and moving the GPS back and forth. I'm OK with that setup. It was cheap and easy.

Thanks for that, and no problem on the two different plugs. Good to know where the heated grips plug in is also. Glad it is not under the tank behind the airbox like on the Multi12. That was PITA to get to.

Interesting on the new parts for GPS mount, nice and clean.
