Here's a repost of what I said on ducati.ms Hyper forums the other day:

My list ('13 base Hyper, US model):

* Limp home mode once. Probably covered by the throttle recall. Went away after a mix of restart/limp home override (hold clutch in to override).
* Several stalls while coasting at idle. Possibly carbon canister, which I haven't removed yet.
* Brake recall/shop memo for front brakes.
* "Christmas Tree Dash"/ECU death, however my bike lost power completely (died) while in motion and would not restart. After several tries on the side of the road (and checking my shorts after it almost got me run over) it restarted and has been running normally since. This is probably not the same ECU death issue that others have experienced since mine died completely and recovered on its own. AFAIK I'm the only person that's been affected by this, so I'll chalk it up to "random software bug".

Mine is due to go into the shop next week for the throttle and brake recalls. I doubt they'll do anything about "Christmas Tree Dash" since it's not dead.

At what temp do the fans come on? Mine has been over 200F and no fans.

My fans comes on just aver 210F, My guess is they are set for 100C = 212F.

2013 with 4500 miles. I had stalling issues when downshifting in the beginning of owning the bike. They did a relearn on the TPS sensor and it didn't solve anything. I just got used to the personality of the bike and changed my habits. It's just the nature of the motorcycle .. Then again I motogp the downshifts nowadays and ride much more aggressively.

There is a film of oil on the studs for the forward cylinder head, but it's nothing serious. In my experience, 90% of engines develop some kind of oil sweat.

I am surprised at the issues other people have. I can make a wager that my Hyper is the most abused on this forum. I have went on some muddy off road, blasted through a 2ft puddle of salt water, the front wheel is always chucked to the sky, occassionally my bike gets air time, and lately the rear tire has a nasty habit of drifting on every corner. Maybe you guys should stop babying your Hyper.
