Does this stuff need to be performed before the warrant is up on the bike? I assume not. I'm checking because I believe mine expires in May of next year. BTW- I traded for my bike from a member on this forum. He was excellent to deal with.

Glad to have helped. Not sure why ducati is doing things this way, but this is what the forums are for.

This isn't a warranty item and will be done after the 2 year period.

Had my 1K service done yesterday, own the bike for a month now and dealer told me that there's no recall on my HS 2014... I hope the dealer have access to a better data base because when I've check last week on the Ducati web site, the system didn't not recognized my VIN... Did someone knows if there's a date code or batches that are affected?

They have to actually look at the throttle assembly to know if it's one of the affected units. My understanding was that starting in '14, the bikes came from the factory with the new throttle already.

Please read the first post of this thread. Have them check the actual throttle part #. It is technically not a recall, so technically your dealer is correct.

That's the problem here - you might be right - you might be wrong. It's been left to each owner to verify their own bike.

It takes the dealer about 5 minutes to do this - and if the part is suspect it's a free repair.

Ok folks. Hope this helps.
I have 2013 HS which is out of warranty but I have experienced the power drop problem twice since I bought bike 6 weeks ago (private purchase)
Took it to dealer today who have informed me that the throttle unit / sensor shall be replaced free of charge by Ducati as it is a "campaign"??
I didnt even get charged for the diagnostic check which should have been 30.

Good service from the dealer and I am happy.

For information of anyone else going down same route.

I'm worried about taking mine in to get the throttle checked and replaced.. The local dealers "head mechanic" is an apprentice.. Theres countless horror stories coming from that one shop when people had any maintenance carried out by them.

Well, the bike is still at the dealer's. Parts haven't turned up. I live in hope.
