I Ride: anything I can get my hands on
You will want to turn the ABS off if you ever get onto a racetrack. I felt it interfere with the front brake power when I was braking hard at the end of the straight; the rear wheel was lifting and slowing down so the difference in wheel speed activated the ABS. This was on our KTM 390 Duke, but the principle is the same.

OTOH, the Strada's TC saved our bacon once on a blind sandy corner. Wifey touched her toe down...with her foot still on the passenger peg! The TC was set on 3.

I was probably trailing the rear brake too much. Haven't put the Strada on the track yet!

I have to agree. Abs sucks on track. Even set to 1 it intervenes way before my braking threshold. I actally set it to 0 in sport mode for the street too.

Umm, I had no problems with abs 1 and dtc 1 at the track. I really like having them both on the street, especially the abs for emergencies... For dirt, dtc 1 is still too much, but I ride 98% on paved roads...

I have taken it out on a couple times now, with it all off. I like it!!! the flashing abs is annoying. I think I will try abs on 1 tomorrow

Here are my settings that I've found to be pretty nice:

Sport mode: ABS 1, DTC 0
Full engine power

Touring mode: ABS 2, DTC 2
Full engine power

Urban mode: ABS 2, DTC 4
Mid engine power

I use sport when I want to whooolie and be a hooligan, touring for most everything else, and urban usually only when it's raining.

And to confirm, ABS on 1 does activate for the rear tire. Which is too bad, but it's not the end of the world.

I've been contemplating changing my settings to pretty much exactly this for a while. Glad you shared that, it's motivation for me to actually get round to doing it rather than just thinking about it.
