do you have no manual ?

right turn (clockwise) until end, this is always "hard" or "stiff", depending which screw or knob. turning counterclockwise in clicks or turns makes it softer.

as i remember rebound is only 1.5 turns (clockwise at right limit stop = hard, 1.5 counterclockwise is soft).
also there S (soft) - H (hard) is marked
pretension (spring preload) clockwise limit stop is hardest, I think 32 clicks = 16 full turns counterclock is softest. turning counterclockwise you can feel after the last clicks that the knob turns very easy - should not be turned any more.

but, this is nicely described in manual on page 172 (in my german one)
the spring preload knob has also hard and soft and turning arrows marked.

my settings are

alone/single use:
rebound: -1.25 - -1
preload: -16 - -12

track: -0.75 / -10

with wife (without luggage)
rebound: -0.25 - -0.5
preload: about -5

if i will drive with wife and luggage i would turn everything to max hard

You've posted this in 2 threads. I responded on one. If you "lift it up to the max" you will be looking for trouble. It is not a height adjustment, it is a sag adjustment.
