Healtech have updated the DS model firmware to suit the Hyperstrada. The model (GPDS-D02) is in production and can be ordered directly at HealTech Electronics Ltd.

Yeah, I would be interested in a plug and play. I rode the 696 this morning to check it over for an up coming trip, the gear indicator is nice add on.

Update: Checking my records, that is the same one I put on the 696, plugs into the Diagnostic plug.

When I go to their site and do the compatibility check, it comes up with a different part (not the DS series) for the HyperStrada.

GIPRO-X-RD + GPX-WSS

It was the case last week but when I checked today, it showed the DS. I just checked again and it shows the DS as the only option, the X-Type is no longer an option.
I called the guys at Blue Monkey (the main US distributor) and asked they ensure the unit they send is the latest model for the Hyperstrada, they said they would check with Norbert at Healtech before shipping anything.

Okay, sent them an email, it is in production but not available at dealers yet. So, you are right, coming soon.

"We had to do a firmware update on the GPDS DS to support this bike.
The GPDS-D02 new version (FW: C06) is not available from dealers yet but it is in production now.

It's plug-n-play although one wire need to be tapped for power."

The link in my earlier message should take you to the order form. Norbert at HealTech has also confirmed that the same model will work with my 2011 Monster 659.

Okay for us in the U.S.,

"I'd recommend to order from our distributor:
Blue Monkey Motorsports, Inc. : : : : HealTech Electronics ::: Motorsports Parts and Accessories

and tell them that you need the "GPDS-D02, FW:C06" version."

Fitted the GIPro DS today; yet to take it out and calibrate it, but is appears as though it will work fine, lights up and counts down as described in the instructions. I have powered it from the power wire into the merit accessory plug under the seat. Had to extend the power wire on the GIPro to reach. Will head out tomorrow and teach it the gears.
