First oil change

Hey guys, have a little over 8500 kms on the bike and wanted to do the oil on the hyper. Needed to buy a 14mm Allen socket. used 4 mm Allen key to remove the 3 bolts holing the engine guard on exposing the oil filter. Pulled out the giant drain plug, oil filter came off by hand. Can't beleive how easy that was!

So it's a wet sump then? No complicated dry sump oil change procedure?

Does anyone have any solid knowledge of what the "factory fill" oil is?

I wonder if they put non-synthetic to save a few dollars per bike.

My dealer told me the bike runs amsoil dominator 15-40 it pours red so don't be alarmed by that

And yes it's a wet sump, honestly one of the easiest oil changes I've ever done.

My dealer told me that it comes with running in oil from the factory.

The bike has a sticker on it saying to use Shell Advance Ultra 10-40

This is what i used for the 600 mile service, my dealer told me any fully synthetic 10-40 oil should be ok though.

My dealer uses Amsoil as well. I'm not one of those Amsoil cultist but they said the Shell is very expensive and very hard to find on a shelf.

I'm not big on any specific brand oil either but I've been running Amsoil on my R6 as well for years just because its readily available on most shelves in my area, and I do notice a difference in the ease of shifting, sequential transmissions love synthetic for some reason.

with 500 kms to go, planning to do my own oil change for 10,000 kms

took a peek under the crankcase and found 2 allen-type plugs, a 5mm left of crankcase half and a 6mm on the right side with a large allen-type (14mm?) screw right next and perpendicular to it. which one is the drain plug?
