So now I don't care about CAN filter anymore, the best way I can do that is find the exactly issue which detroy can bus system!

Could we find the problem together? Any information will be appreciated!

Ps: when I say the Can filter only protect dashboard, I mean the transient voltage could go anywhere, but now the dashboard built the block gate (CAN filter), so the transient voltage will go to the ECU where end of the can bus ! ( ECU & dashboard are ends of can bus with 120ohms )
This could be a flaw. I can't promise I'll solve it but I will look into it now that I have the schematics. Without knowing inner workings of the ECU I might be SOL...

I will use 2 TVS zener diode (1 for Can_H; 1 for Can_L; both Anode(+) wire to ground). I will install it for Dash, ECU, ABS, BBS then I will test the transient voltage ! I have checked all relays, regulator, alternator; they're ok ! But now I wonder about Fan of radiator, they're brush motor which make a lot of transient voltage, but they did not used relay, they connected directly to BBS, then make a lot of noise to can bus system !

In Cali, if there is an outstanding "NHTSA Safety Recall" (actual proper name) the DMV won't let you renew your registration. I worked for a vehicle manufacturer years ago, and we always preferred to do a "product upgrade" instead as we actually got better response that way and didn't have to do all the NHTSA reporting paperwork. Plus the Feds got unhappy if we didn't get at least 50% of the problem units.

So I think that Ducati is doing it right.

PS Also, these dash failures have not caused any serious injuries or deaths. That tends to get the Feds' attention.

Sounds like it's worth a try. These will only protect from spikes and over voltage. If the problem is interference or noise related you'll need to remedy that too. I'd start with some clamp on EMI/RFI/EMC Filters for the power feed wires for each module.

I have a 2013 hyperstrada with 10k that has never given me a problem ever.
last week I went for canbus recall and I'm having problem starting the bike in the morning. it turns on for a sec or two and dies, I have try give it few tries before it eventually starting.
yesterday while I was cracking it up the neutral light disappeared and it took while before I figure it out why was not even responding....weird
I called the dealer and of course first thing he said while being defensive was that my battery is almost dead.
any suggestions what maybe going on ?

How do you find out about these? I put my VIN on Ducati's website and it didn't return anything.

It's been repeated here at least a hundred times: These are not recalls, they are TSBs. Something Ducati does not publish to the public, only to their dealer network. Call your dealer and ask them to check on your VIN.
