Your comment about sparing use is duly noted - otherwise I'm not sure of the reasoning, but I'll go by the book. That it is more than an anti seize agent is implied by the requested use of a high moly content grease. Beyond that we can only speculate until an engineer steps in and puts us right :-)

Another place it is requested is the rear sprocket side axle, and the nuts holding the sprocket carrier/cush drive together.

But one thing we can be sure of - When someone asks a simple question on the forum it can go south fast. Hope the OP has enough info for that wheel removal.
