Cable Lube recommendations

I was told that I should be using a Moly lube for greasing the clutch and brake cables because anything else may deteriorate the teflon coating on the cable.

Does anyone recommend a particular brand?

thanks

Why not just use a teflon lube for a teflon cable? I use Finish Line Teflon lube.

don't spray anything down the brake lines!!!

Moly lube is truly nasty stuff - maybe some triflow or or a silicon spray. Nice thing about silicon lube is that it doesn't attract dirt - I use on brake pedal linages, kick stand pivots etc..

Mainly keep the lever end piece of the clutch cable lubed with a water proof grease. That's what can cause it to snap.

I had a clutch cable go bad before. Unsure exactly why. I put some dry graphite powder in the new cable and it is still smooth as butter.
