Rexxer saves the day and the bike now runs like it was meant to

I posted this on the -cough cough- other site but thought I should post it here as well:

I've been using TuneECU on KTMs for years so I'm pretty comfortable with the whole laptop connected to ECU thing. I figured I'd try JPDiag and IAWDiag so I hooked up the ECU (after modifying the "Fiat" OBD2 cable) and was able to connect and test the fuel pump but not much else. Never got the ECU data on the home page of JPDiag.
So I try IAWDiag and get a similar experience. Couldn't do much. I tried to reset adaption and got an error, actually I got "ERROR ERROR ERROR ERROR ERROR ERROR ERROR ERROR ERROR ERROR ERROR"
Then I figured I'd read/download the stock map for posterity. That's when things went wrong. I connected, hit "Read Map", fan went on full speed and I got a Login prompt on the app. Well that's not good...
App crashed (or acted like it) so I shut the bike down.
This caused the bike to lose throttle position and gave me an exclamation point inside a triangle on the dash. Service mileage defaulted back to 8500 too.
I was going to send it off to David at Rexxer anyway so I pulled it out, and after explaining what happened to David via email, I sent it off.
David gets the ECU and, long story short, something bad had happened to it. He couldn't see my VIN and it was sounding like I bricked the ECU.
He was eventually able to rebuild the firmware and get it to boot up and all my data re-appeared.
He loaded the map, disabled the exhaust flapper and sent it back to me. Got it installed and trailered down to local Ducati dealer (Marin Speed Shop) who did a great job. The tech totally understood what to do and reset the TPS and APS but didn't touch the engine map.
Oh and it now says "Hypermotard RACING" during startup.

And it runs amazingly well! No more snatchiness and lean surging. Power and throttle response is better everywhere. Freeway cruising is great, 4-5K rpm steady is now actually steady. I couldn't be happier with how it runs now.
So a HUGE thank you to David at Rexxer for saving the day AND making the bike run like it was meant to.

Nice. Still think RapidBike is more versatile but any tune is better than stock.

So, I met a guy at a once local shop that claimed to be the founder of Rexxer. He drove a killer 911 GT2 so seamed plausible. Did David have a Virginia address?

Yeah, Virginia Beach.
Just put 100 miles on it and the bike is now officially magical.

This sounds like what I want. I don't really need the versatility of a Rapid Bike as I'm more or less happy with the bike as is save for the lean fueling. Presumably the map is similar to what comes with the Termi racing exhaust? I'll probably do a tune + slip on as a gift to myself in the near future.

Happy to meet and we can swap bike so you can try it out.
