Unhappy Mirrors ajustment

My right hand side mirror seem not tight enough so every time there is high winds or I gun the bike above 150 Km/h (90 Mp/h) it loose it's adjustment so I end up readjusting during the ride. It happend pretty often just enough to starrt anoying me.

Is there a way to thighen it? I've looked at it and it does not seem to be possible. Any comments?

HI bazwp, there is a locknut on the top, not sure by memory but 14mm I think. That needs nipping up once mirror is in correct position, I had to tighten my LH mirror, no problems now.

I thought it only had one nut to lock the mirror into place on the support. I'll have a second look before departure.

Cheers!

Ah your talking about the actual adjustable mirror moving with the wind, I thought you where talking about the actual mirror stem where it threads onto the handle bars where there is a locknut. I dont think you can tighten the top bit, maybe ask your dealer to replace it under warranty.

I have the same issue on my GSR, the bolt undose a bit. I get around this by screwing the mirror around and it tightens it up nicely

Look under the rubber boot next to the mirror. There is a nut that you can adjust that compresses a spring. This sprng applies a force to the socket that mirror pivots on.

Actually we can, the nut between the stem and the mirror (under the rubber) is adjsutable. I should had tried it before but it's the way it's built that confused me. I've thighten it and it worked. No more readjustment needed during the ride. Case solved.
