I Ride: 2013 White Strada
Random "ERRORS"

Anybody get CEL with "ERRORS", but the bike runs fine? Showed up on return ride startup yesterday. I cycled power on the road and it didn't go away.

Cold start this morning and it was clear. However, shortly after pulling away it popped again. DTC and ABS working fine and no limp mode characteristics. I've been suspecting a bad O2 for a while. Anyone know if an O2 fault shows up this way?

I've had this for a few weeks on my 2015 821. Meaning to get it into a shop to figure out what's going on. It was hard starting due to an old tired battery so I was hoping a fresh one would clear it up bu the CEL remains. Bike starts and runs just fine so I'm assuming it's a sensor or something electrical versus mechanical.

Haven't reset the battery yet.
No pattern. Not speed or temp dependent. Usually pops within 3 minutes of setting off. At idle, won't pop. Had a recent ride where it didn't pop, stopped for gas, ERRORS. Rode for almost 5 mins and over 60 mph before it lit another time.

Hmm, mine is probably different then. It'll pop up the moment the engine turns over, but doesn't show during key on.

The person who bought my bike is having this same issue. CEL popped up. Runs fine. Has been this way for several months, still working fine but has that light on. Thinking maybe an O2 sensor...

yep thats what mine was doing with a bad O2 sensor, ran ok but did stammer now and again, I was touring Ireland at the time, called into a Duc dealership over there to run the diagnostic machine on it, that confirmed the front sensor

Probably O2. How much do they run for? Mine runs just slightly ruff and it seams to pop around 130 deg

There expensive from the the main stealer, I waited and got one from ebay, bike was being broken, paid around $25. its been on the bike for 10000 miles now no problem.

If anyone was wondering, we have the most expensive OEM O2 Sensors from most of the lineup in 2013 - 2015 range: $330. No luck on shared part #'s between Monster, 848, etc.

I'm gonna try and clean mine. You just hit them with a torch and dunk in cold water to coke the deposits, then soak in gasoline overnight. Not a sure thing but worth a try until I source some used ones.

I get an obscene number of backfires between shifts, which leads me to believe this is definitely an O2 issue.

Lol, never heard of that b4, normally a sniff of water will destroy an o2 sensor. Been spannering for over 30 years.
Have a look out on eBay for one, that's what I did two years ago and still going strong
