Winter storage

Sad times come .. Winter is here and no more riding

I have some questions about the storage of my Hyper for the long winter here.

What should I do and think about when winter store my bike in the cold.
1) The battery tender
2) xxxxx?

Any help is welcome..

Change the oil, put you're battery on a tender or take it out and keep it in a warm place. We don't really have to worry about our fuel level cause of the plastic tank. But a little stabilizer is a good idea. Clean the bike, and put the bike on its centre stand when it's in it's winter home

Lots of people have different ideas. The best it an inteligent battery charger. Some drain the fuel, some fill it right up to the brim (no room for condensation to happen). Some put it on stands to stop the tyres "flatting". Some run the engine every week, some not as it can cause condensation in the engine and exhaust. Some cover it with a soft cloth. Some add a fuel stabilizer.

I put it on the charger and run mine every 2 weeks. But I just dont ride in ice and snow.

Thx.. I will fill the tank (so no condensation) and have the battery hocked up on my C tech (inteligent battery charger).

As the bike is not air coled like the old Hyper, is there anything else I need to do to make sure all is good?

I clean my bike, change the oil, add Sta-Bil (the blue marine kind), then drive to the local gas station and top off the tank. Once back home, I put it up on my "Park n Move" from Legal Speeding, then move it to the corner of the garage and hook it up to the Battery Tender Jr.

I top the tank off and use fuel stabilizer and run it so it gets in to the system. Change the engine oil and filter. Flush the brake fluid. Clean, lube and adjust the chain. Put the charger on the bat every month or so to top it off. Wash bike if it needs it. Cover it for the winter in a garage.
