metal plate

since we're on the subject of keys and keychain...

what's that small metal plate (1) with a number stamped on it that came with the pair of keys from the dealer? is it significant? i plan to use it as part of the keychain... or should i stow it away in a safe place in case i needed it to unlock something on the bike?

Use your common sense my friend and stow it away. Read page 117 of the Owner's manual.

i knew that metal "dog tag" thingy must be important... although there was no reference to it in the owner's manual. was so excited and in a hurry to drive out the motorcycle from the dealership that i overlooked this small detail. thanks for the heads up

btw, happy new year to all!!

Nice nic schönwetter.

I see that you have the Ducati alarm. Is it any good? I have had spy5000 before but that was an unpleasant story. Draining battery and more.

If I may answer on schönwetter behalf. I do have the alarm as well and it works well. It's given a jolt to a few unexpecting peoples including some friends who apparently barely touched the bike.

Newrider, I see we have similar tastes with aviation backgrounds.. Only difference is mine you remove after flight, not before . Compliments of SteinAir after you purchase some 500ft of Mil spec wiring

Excuse the mess in the garage or the hair band.. It's not my house and I've got to keep the Ducati key fob & motard keys from scratching everything
