I wonder if they get the same tingling sensation I get as I go past..

I can't imagine riding a bike without pushing it hard. The only thing that slows me down is bad road conditions.

Sounds a lot like my clueless nephew, who managed to run a perfectly decent MuZ Skorpion he borrowed from me into the ground in less than a year. That was after he did the same to an SV650 I'd found for him. As an retired M.E. who did extensive testing and dealt with warranty and recall issues, I have a bit of sympathy for mechanical things. I don't take my anger out on a bike. But then I've never bought one that (at the time) I intended to sell!

Mine gets it's neck wrung pretty much every time I ride it.
It's well maintained and gets fresh oil every 4500miles.

Hey man, might as well ride the piss out of it. What's the point saving it for the next guy? That said, I take very good care of it from a maintenance perspective and expect it to last a long time as long as Ducati designed the engine properly...
