Howdy, all!
I just got back from trading my beloved 2010 Speed triple for a 2014 Hyperstrada. I'm a little nervous about how different it will be, but it's time for something new.
The bike I got is a 2014 with the Termi high pipe, around $3k difference from the Triumph, so I feel like I'm getting a pretty good deal. The only downside is that it doesn't come with the side bags (previous owner had to ditch them for the pipe upgrade), but they threw in a tail bag to assuage my ego.

I look forward to lurking around and hitting everybody up for advice and stories as they come up!

Hi.

My advice would be to ditch that termi. It belongs on a hypermotard. The stock exhuast is plenty loud and doesn't prohibit usage of the oh-so-useful (but shittily built) panniers. Plus you can probably sell it for enough to pay for the bags and a clean stock exhaust and maybe have enough left to buy a coffee or two.

Thanks, beef! I've been considering leaning that direction, especially if I end up riding more of a touring style. Any suggestions for finding the stock exhaust and panniers outside of eBay?

I've got a brand new stock 821 exhaust (taken off at 60 miles) I'd sell you.

Do you have the high termi slip on or full system? (is there a bulge near where it connects to the mid pipe or not?)

Outside of bay? This message board. Those are your two best bets.

Dunno.. I thought they were shittily built and bought a spare set on this forum, but the f*ckers never died. They turned purple, the pulls came off, but they never died.

Luckily, about a month ago I slammed a gas station bollard, ripped off a bag, and broke it enough to need replacement. Still held up for the rest of the trip though.

So I feel stupid for hitting the bolliard - it was painted grey, and Harley guys were parked at the pumps chatting about assless chaps, drivers were on their phones and not pulling into pumps, and it was the only one in town. But, I feel smart for buying the back-up bags. So I'm even.

The bags don't stay pretty, but they never die till you kill them.

Kuksul08 - I PM'ed you, but I wouldn't turn down any other community knowledge.

Here's the pictures - 2014 Hyperstrada Termi exhaust - Album on Imgur
Looks like the full racing exhaust to me.
Thoughts?
