Electronic Cruise Control

Lightweight and no trickle charger needed

I've put a Li-PO Battery on every bike we have, plus our '13 MX-5 Miata where it saved 20 pounds well forward of the front axle. I don't ride our bikes often enough to keep a lead-acid battery charged and swapping Tenders gets to be a hassle.

That said, my Velocette Venom shakes hard enough to frag a Shorai internally (the engine is apart right now to address that). A Ballistic might be more durable, although I've had no trouble with Shorais elsewhere.

My finished cruise control harness should be in my hands next Wednesday. Unfortunately it seems as though it might be a one-off unit. Since so far, nobody has come forward that lives in Melbourne Australia with a Hyper. This means that until MCCruise gets their hands on a physical bike to test, they will not be offering this as a sale-able unit.

My bike is on it's way back to the dealer this week for an unknown period of time, so I'm not sure when I'll get around to testing the cruise.

Any updates here? Is this a package that one can order yet? :)
I've pulled out pretty much all the stops in an attempt to get someone to pick this project back up. Unfortunately I'm the only one that ended up getting a unit that works (mostly).

I've personally invested 40+ hours and over $300 to try and help move this project along but it just wasn't meant to be.

I will say, if I ever sell my hyper, I will be posting the cruise on here for sale to one of the interested members.

Well, its a Motard with a touring package. Devloping a cruise option might not been as cost effective as slapping a windscreen and some luggage on it though, I still wonder why it couldnt have been adapted from the Multi. The standard Motard buyer probably doesnt desire it. Beyond that, its not a popular enough model for an aftermarket company to invest in, which is what happened with the product in this thread.

Any news regarding this?
What type of company would be able to work on this?
Maybe we can try around the States to get it revived again!

No progress I'm aware of but I have the prototype and seeing if I can download the firmware so we can replicate, on my ToDoList, which is long...

That would be great!
Please keep us posted.
I sent an email to Boulder Motor Sports after talking to Lomax about setting of they developed the software to activate the stock Cruise control, still waiting for an answer, I will call Monday.
If anybody lives in Boulder or Denver it might be a good thing to stop by and tell them there's people interested..
